Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

    3. Object Number: 1828810 Size: SH
  3. Remove the lower shock bolt.

    4. Object Number: 1828816 Size: SH
  4. Remove the upper shock bolt.
  5. Remove the shock from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the shock to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1828816 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper shock bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1828810 Size: SH
  3. Install the lower shock bolt and nut.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  5. Lower the vehicle.

Removal Procedure

  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

  3. Remove the lower shock bolt.

    4. Object Number: 1828816 Size: SH
  4. Remove the upper shock bolt.
  5. Remove the shock from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the shock to the vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1828816 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper shock bolt and tighten to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).

    3. Object Number: 1828810 Size: SH
  3. Install the lower shock bolt and nut and tighten to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
  4. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
