Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement LY7

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  4. Object Number: 1820213  Size: SH
  5. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering cooler pipe (2) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  6. Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) from the power steering gear.
  8. Unclip all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets.
  9. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets to the vehicle.
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  4. Connect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) to the power steering gear.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1820213  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (1) and connect the power steering cooler pipe (2) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  7. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  8. Install the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement LZ4

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.

  5. Object Number: 1869598  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and disconnect the power steering cooler pipe (1) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) from the steering gear.
  9. Unclip all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets.
  10. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets to the vehicle.
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  4. Connect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) to the steering gear.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1869598  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and connect the power steering cooler pipe (1) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  7. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  8. Install the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement LE5

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.

  5. Object Number: 2056781  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and disconnect the power steering cooler pipe (1) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) from the steering gear.

  9. Object Number: 2063027  Size: SH
  10. Unclip all the power steering cooler pipe bracket fasteners (1).
  11. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  3. Connect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) to the steering gear.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 2063027  Size: SH
  5. Clip in place all the power steering cooler pipe bracket fasteners (1).

  6. Object Number: 2056781  Size: SH
  7. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and connect the power steering cooler pipe (1) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  8. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  10. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  11. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Removal Procedure

  5. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering cooler pipe (2) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  6. Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) from the power steering gear.
  8. Unclip all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets.
  9. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets to the vehicle.
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  4. Connect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) to the power steering gear and tighten the fittings to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).

  5. Object Number: 1820213  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (1) and connect the power steering cooler pipe (2) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  7. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  8. Install the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.

  5. Object Number: 1869598  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and disconnect the power steering cooler pipe (1) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) from the steering gear.
  9. Unclip all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets.
  10. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect all power steering cooler pipe routing brackets to the vehicle.
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  4. Connect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) to the steering gear and tighten the fittings to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).

  5. Object Number: 1869598  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and connect the power steering cooler pipe (1) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  7. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  8. Install the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.

  5. Object Number: 2056781  Size: SH
  6. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and disconnect the power steering cooler pipe (1) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 1820215  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) from the steering gear.

  9. Object Number: 2063027  Size: SH
  10. Unclip all the power steering cooler pipe bracket fasteners (1).
  11. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Connect the power steering cooler pipe fitting (1) to the steering gear and tighten the fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Object Number: 2063027  Size: SH
  5. Clip in place all the power steering cooler pipe bracket fasteners (1).

  6. Object Number: 2056781  Size: SH
  7. Compress the power steering cooler pipe clamp (2) and connect the power steering cooler pipe (1) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  8. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
  10. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  11. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
