- Remove the oil level sensor.
- Inspect the O-ring seal (2) and the electrical connector (1) for wear or damage. Repair or replace as necessary.
Caution: Bodily injury may occur if the cleaning solvent is inhaled or exposed
to the skin.
- Clean the oil pan with solvent. Remove all sludge and debris from the oil pan.
- Dry the oil pan with compressed air.
- Inspect the oil pan sealing surface for damage and replace if necessary.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the oil level sensor and bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the oil level sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Remove the oil level sensor.

- Install the oil level sensor and bolt and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in).
