Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1888716 Size: SH
  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
  2. Reposition the underhood electrical center. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (10) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor (3).

    4. Object Number: 1836047 Size: SH
  4. Remove the ECT sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1836047 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECT sensor and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

    2. Object Number: 1888716 Size: SH
  2. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (10) to the ECT sensor (3).
  3. Install the underhood electrical center. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
  4. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
