If a condition of hard shifting or second gear lock-up is experienced on a five-speed manual transaxle after internal repairs, it my be caused by missing or incorrectly installed lock pins. This is especially true in the case of items #39 and #41 in the illustration. These two (2) pins are alightly different in length and shape; and if installed in the wrong position, may cause one or both of the above conditions.
