Some 1983 'J' cars with automatic transmissions may exhibit a surging (fluctuation) of vehicle speed while operating in the cruise control mode. This condition is most evident on downhill grades. To service vehicles with this condition, order service package, P/N 14093396. This package contains a now throttle body unit that incorporates a repositioned cruise control stud (see Illustration No. 1).
