COASTDOWN WHINE NOISE REPLACE TRANSAXLE STRUT

MODEL AND YEAR: 1985-86 CAVALIER WITH 2.8L ENGINE (VIN CODE W) AND 125C TRANSAXLE

Some 1985-86 Cavalier models with 2.8L engine and 125 transaxle may exhibit an objectionable coastdown whine from 50 mph to 20 mph. The noise may be most audible at 25-30 mph. To minimize this condition, replace the transaxle strut with a 1987 strut assembly part number 14106640. (See Illustration).
