The engine metal temperature switch that was used on the cavalier carline with the 2.OL (VIN 1) engine, was eliminated in 1988. An illustration in section 6D5 (engine wiring) incorrectly points to a "metal temperature switch connector" (item 9) on page 6D5-1, Figure 1 in the 1988 Cavalier Service Manual.
