This bulletin covers Intermittent Torque Converter Clutch Apply and/or No Torque Converter Clutch Apply due to Solenoid Assemblies (333) that may be inoperative.
Suspect solenoids will have the following production dates stamped on the solenoid body: 258, 268, 278, 288. (Refer to illustration.)
Solenoid assemblies produced before and after these dates are not affected.
Refer to Section 6E3-C8 Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) System and Section 7 Transaxle Diagnosis Section of your service manual to verify if the solenoid assembly is functioning properly.
Do not attempt to repair suspect solenoid assemblies.
If an inoperative solenoid assembly is found in any THM 125C/HYDRA-MATIC 3T40 replace it with a new one.
Refer to the following part number when replacement of the solenoid assembly is necessary.
