---------- Some owners of 1991 and 1992 "J" models may experience one or more of the following conditions when operating the power door locks:
1. Difficulty manually locking or unlocking the left front or right front door using the key after operating the door locks electrically.
2. A buzzing noise or intermittent functioning of door lock actuators when activated electrically.
------ 1. An internal clutch mechanism within the actuator assembly prevents normal operation after power to the actuator has stopped. This action requires a higher degree of effort to reset the clutch mechanism when manually operating the door lock.
2. Water intrusion into door lock actuator.
----------- Replace the affected door lock actuator for all models with:
Door Lock Actuator Kit P/N 22138670.
The correct procedure for replacing the door lock actuator can be found in the 1991 and 1992 "J" Car Service Manuals.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
