Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  3. Remove the oil pan and the filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter Changing .

  4. Object Number: 104411  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil level control valve. Pull the valve straight out. Do not pry on the valve or the transmission.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 104411  Size: SH
  1. Install the oil level control valve into the transmission. Push straight on the center of the valve.
  2. Install the oil filter and the bottom pan. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter Changing .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Adjust the oil level.
