THIS BULLETIN REVISES DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS USED WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC'S) LISTED BELOW. PLEASE UPDATE SECTIONS 5E1 AND 5E2 OF THE SERVICE MANUAL ACCORDINGLY.
- THE DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS USED WITH DTC'S 67, 68, 71 AND 72 (PAGES 5E1- 153, 5E1-155, 5E1-157, 5E1-159, 5E2-161, 5E2-163, 5E2-165 AND 5E2- 167) REFER TO THE INCORRECT CIRCUIT NUMBER TO REPAIR WHEN REFERRING TO THE EMB BATTERY FEED CIRCUIT (CKT 855/1633). THE CURRENT DIAGNOSTIC CHART REFERS TO CKT 850, THE CORRECT CIRCUIT NUMBER IS CKT 855. THE ATTACHED DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS REFLECT THIS CHANGE (ATTACHMENTS A - D, SECTION 5E1 AND ATTACHMENTS E - H, SECTION 5E2) AND SHOULD BE USED WHEN REPAIRING THE ABOVE DTC'S.
- THE DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS USED WITH DTC'S 47 (PAGE 2 OF 2), 48 (PAGE 2 OF 2) AND 51 (PAGE 2 OF 2) IN SECTIONS 5E1 AND 5E2 REFER TO THE INCORRECT NUMBER OF TURNS NEEDED TO DETERMINE A DAMAGED ABS VI HYDRAULIC MODULATOR. THIS IS WITHIN STEP 10 ON THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART. THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART FOR DTC'S 47 AND 48 CURRENTLY READS "AT LEAST 8.5 FULL TURNS". THE CHART SHOULD READ "MORE THAN 9 TURNS". THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART FOR DTC 51 CURRENTLY READS "AT LEAST 3.5 FULL TURNS". THE CHART SHOULD READ "MORE THAN 4 TURNS". THE ATTACHED DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS REFLECT THESE CHANGES (ATTACHMENTS I, J, K) AND SHOULD BE USED WHEN REPAIRING THE ABOVE DTC'S.
