An approved engine stand will help prevent personal injury or damage to engine components.

Special tools are illustrated thought-out this section and are listed at the end under Special Tools. These tools or their equivalents are specially designed to quickly and safely accomplish the operations for which they are intended. The use of these tools will also prevent damage to engine components.

Some precision measuring tools are necessary for inspection of critical components. Torque wrenches are necessary for the correct assembly of the engine.
