Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1996 🢒 Cavalier 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.4L 🢒 Engine Block Plug Installation
  1. Install the engine block coolant drain plug.
  2. Apply gasket paste GM P/N 1050026 to the plug before installation
  3. Install the coolant jacket plug.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant jacket plug to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the oil passage plugs.
  5. Apply gasket paste GM P/N 12345382 to the plugs before installation
  6. Install the oil passage plugs.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the oil passage plugs to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
