For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the pump to the intake cam carrier bolts.
- Remove the pump from the intake cam carrier.
Important: When reinstalling the power steering pump, apply a 3 mm bead of Loctite 5900 GM P/N 12346286 sealer or equivalent to the joint at the end of the cam carrier housing halves before installation of the power steering pump and pump face seal.
