J 33374 Collar Installer

Important: Apply oil to the thrust surfaces on all gears and washers prior to installation.

1. Install the following items for the 3rd gear:

•	The needle bearing

•	The 3rd gear

•	The blocker ring.




2. Align the inserts of the following items with the grooves in the blocker ring:

•	The 3rd/4th sleeve

•	The hub assembly

Important: Lubricate the collar and hub interiors prior to installation.

After installation, lubricate the collar.
After installation, inspect the springs for interference with the hub.
3. Install the following items using the J 33374 and a hydraulic press:

•	The 3rd/4th sleeve

•	The hub assembly

•	The collar

4. Install the following items for the 4th gear:

•	The blocker ring

•	The needle bearing

•	The 4th gear

•	The thrust washer with the recessed area facing fourth gear

Important: Apply oil to the bearing interior and race surfaces prior to installation.




5. Install the collar (1) and the stopper plate (2) using the J 33374 and a hydraulic press.



6. Install the rear bearing using the J 33374 .
