Tools Required

1. Remove the front bearing using the J 22227-A and the J 41677 and a hydraulic press.



2. Remove the rear bearing and the 3rd/4th gear using the J 22912-01 inverted and a hydraulic press.



3. Remove the following items as an assembly using a hydraulic press:

•	The needle bearing

•	The collar

•	The 2nd gear

•	The 1st/2nd gear synchronizer

•	The 1st gear

•

The key

4. Remove the thrust bearing.
5. Remove the thrust bearing washer.
