1. Disassemble the transaxle case. Refer to Transmission Case Disassemble

•	The input gear bearing

•	The clutch release bearing

•	The speed gear bearing

•	The bearing races

•	The thrust surfaces

Are any of the componets worn or damaged?

Go to Step 2

Refer to Isolating Noise

Service, repair, or replace any worn or damaged components. Refer to Transmission Case Disassemble

Did the noise disappear?

System OK
