THE CALIBRATION ORIGINALLY INSTALLED IN THESE VEHICLES IS SENSITIVE TO LONG PERIODS OF CLOSED THROTTLE (0% TPS) AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 38 AND 42 MPH (61-68 KM/H). THIS CONDITION USUALLY OCCURS WHEN USING THE ENGINE TO SLOW THE VEHICLE ON LONG DOWNHILL GRADES WITH THE SELECTOR IN DRIVE (D) OR THIRD (3).
A NEW CALIBRATION HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, THIS NEW CALIBRATION SHOULD ONLY BE INSTALLED IF THE OWNER STATES A CONCERN WITH THE ABOVE NOTED CONDITIONS. PERFORM THE PCM FLASH CALIBRATION PROCEDURE USING THE NUMBER 22 CD-ROM UPDATE OR A LATER VERSION. CORRECT CALIBRATION INFORMATION IS LISTED IN THE CHART BELOW.
