SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR MAT DOES NOT STAY IN POSITION ON THE FLOOR.
REPLACE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR MAT WITH A NEW MAT (SEE BELOW FOR PART NUMBERS) THAT INCORPORATES THE USE OF A RETAINING DEVICE USING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE:
1. LOCATE THE NEW DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR MAT IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE REAR OF THE FLOOR MAT AGAINST THE SEAT MOUNTING SURFACE IN THE FLOOR PAN AND THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FLOOR MAT AGAINST THE HUMP IN THE CENTER OF THE FLOOR PAN. THE RIGHT REAR CORNER OF THE FLOOR MAT WILL FIT INTO FLOOR PAN POCKET WHEN PROPERLY POSITIONED.
2. MARK THE FLOOR CARPET WITH A PIECE OF WHITE CHALK AT THE CENTER OF THE FASTENING EYELET IN THE DRIVER'S FLOOR MAT.
3. REMOVE THE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR MAT.
4. PUSH THE AUGER END OF THE RETAINING DEVICE INTO THE MARKED AREA OF THE FLOOR CARPET.
5. PUSH AND TURN THE RETAINING DEVICE CLOCKWISE UNTIL THE SHOULDER IS TOUCHING THE FLOOR CARPET. THE RETAINING DEVICE WILL ROTATE FREELY WHEN SEATED.
6. REINSTALL THE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR MAT AND LOCATE THE RETAINING EYELET IN THE FLOOR MAT OVER THE RETAINING DEVICE.
7. TURN THE TOP HALF OF THE RETAINING DEVICE (SWIVEL TAB) A QUARTER TURN TO LOCK THE FLOOR MAT IN PLACE.
