For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect the shift forks, shafts and levers for wear, fractures or distortion.
- Inspect the shift shaft lever bushings for excessive wear, distortion or scoring. Replace components if any of these conditions are present.
- Measure shift fork and pad thickness. Replace parts if diameter exceeds 7.4 mm (0.291 in.) for reverse shift fork and 7.5 mm (0.295 in.) for all other shift forks.
