Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 302606  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Important: Do not evacuate the refrigerant. You can leave the compressor hose assembly to the compressor.

  3. Remove the compressor from the bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  4. Remove the upper compressor mounting bracket bolt.
  5. Remove the strut bracket mounting bolts.
  6. Remove the compressor mounting bracket (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the compressor mounting bracket (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the upper compressor mounting bracket bolt and the strut bracket bolts.
  4. Tighten

    1. Tighten the upper compressor mounting bracket bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the strut bracket bolts to 66 N·m (49 lb ft).
  5. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
