For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Depress and hold the readjustment tab.
  2. Pull the cable conduit out until the slider mechanism hits the stop.
  3. Release the button.
  4. Position a 17 mm socket and torque wrench onto the throttle body pulley cam assembly.
  5. Important: Audible clicks will be heard during this step.

  6. Rotate the torque wrench to the full wide open throttle position and apply 7-10 N·m (62-69  lb in) torque.
  7. Release the applied pressure on the torque wrench.
  8. Remove the torque wrench and socket
  9. Check that the cable moves freely. The cable may appear to function properly with the engine stopped and cold. Inspect the engine after the engine is hot.
  10. Road test the vehicle.
