Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 236793 Size: MH
  1. Remove the driver side sound insulator. Refer to Insulator Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the electrical connection (5, 6).
  3. Disconnect the brake switch (7) by grasping the switch and turning it 90 degrees counterclockwise while pulling toward the rear of the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 236793 Size: MH
  1. Insert the stoplamp switch (7) into the retainer until the switch body is seated on the retainer.
  2. Connect the electrical connector (5, 6).
  3. Adjust the stoplamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
  4. Install the driver's side sound insulator. Refer to Insulator Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
