Removal Procedure

Notice: Use tape on the tool surface so that you do not damage the paint on the antenna mast.

  1. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel to gain access to the antenna.

  2. Object Number: 290021  Size: SH
  3. Remove the antenna mast (2) from the antenna base (1).
  4. Disconnect the antenna lead-in (4) from the antenna base (1).
  5. Remove the antenna base screws (5) from the bracket on the antenna base (1).
  6. Remove the antenna base from the antenna mounting spacer (3) and the wheelhouse pinchweld flange.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the antenna lead-in (4) to the antenna base (1).
  2. Install the antenna base (1) to the antenna mounting spacer (3) until fully seated while aligning the antenna base bracket to the upper hole in the pinchweld flange of the inner wheelhouse.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the antenna base screws (5) to the bracket on the antenna base (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  6. Install the antenna mast (2) to the antenna base (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna mast to 1.5 N·m (14 lb in).

  8. Reposition the rear compartment trim panel.
