Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement - On Vehicle .

  3. Object Number: 600922  Size: SH
  4. Remove the 2 TORX® head screws (2) from the ignition switch (3).
  5. Remove the ignition switch (3) from the steering column (1).
  6. Remove the electrical connectors from the ignition switch.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical connectors to the ignition switch.

  2. Object Number: 600922  Size: SH
  3. Install the ignition switch (3) to the steering column (1).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the 2 TORX® head screws (2) to the ignition switch (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (36 lb in).

  7. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement - On Vehicle .
  8. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
