Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front fender liner as required to access the bolts
from the front fascia to fender. Refer to
Front Fender Liner Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the front fascia to fender bolts.
- Using J 38778
,
remove the push-in retainers from the top and the center of the fascia.
- Using J 38778
,
remove the push-in retainers from the bottom of the fascia.
- Remove the front bumper
fascia from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the front bumper
fascia on the vehicle.
- Install the push-in retainers at the top, center of the fascia.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
bumper fascia to fender bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the front fender liner. Refer to
Front Fender Liner Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Install the push-in retainers to the bottom of the fascia.
