Rear Spoiler Replacement Chevrolet

1. Remove the nuts (3) from rear compartment lid spoiler.
2. Remove the bolts (4) from the rear compartment lid spoiler.



3. Disconnect the rear compartment lid spoiler wire harness connector (1).



4. Remove the rear compartment lid spoiler (1).

1. Position the rear compartment lid spoiler (1) on the rear compartment lid.
2. Pull gently on the rear compartment lid spoiler wire harness in order to seat the grommet.



3. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the rear compartment lid spoiler.




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the rear compartment lid spoiler nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

5. Install the rear compartment lid spoiler bolts (4).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

Rear Spoiler Replacement Pontiac

1. Remove the nut access plugs (1) from the rear compartment lid as necessary.
2. Remove the bolts from rear compartment lid spoiler.



3. Remove the nuts (2) from the rear compartment lid spoiler.



4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the rear compartment lid spoiler.



5. Remove the rear compartment lid spoiler (1).
6. Remove the high mount stop lamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement in Lighting.

1. Install the high mount stop lamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement in Lighting.



2. Position the rear compartment lid spoiler (1) on the rear compartment lid.



3. Pull gently on the spoiler wire harness in order to seat the grommet.
4. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the rear compartment lid spoiler.

5. Install the nuts (3) to the rear compartment lid spoiler.

Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lid spoiler nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment lid spoiler bolts (4).

Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lid spoiler bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).




7. Install the retaining nut access plugs.
