Normal Vehicle Use
These schedules are for vehicles that:
| • | Carry passengers and cargo within recommended limits. These limits
are listed on the vehicles tire loading information label located on the drivers
door. |
| • | Are driven on reasonable road surfaces within legal driving limits. |
| • | Use the recommended fuel. |
Selecting the Right Maintenance Schedule
Determine which of the two schedules is right for the vehicle. Refer
to the definitions of maintenance schedules below.

Short Trip/City Maintenance Definition
Follow the Short Trip/City Maintenance Schedule if any one of these
conditions is true for the vehicle:
| • | Most trips are less than 8 to 16 km (5 to 10 mi). This
is particularly important when outside temperatures are below freezing. |
| • | Most trips include extensive idling (such as frequent driving
in stop-and-go traffic). |
| • | Most trips are through dusty areas. |
| • | The vehicle frequently tows a trailer or uses a carrier on top
of the vehicle. |
| • | If the vehicle is used for delivery service, police, taxi or other
commercial application. |
Short Trip/City Intervals
3 000 km (5,000 miles)
| • | Engine Oil and Filter Change (or 3 months, whichever occurs
first). |
6 000 km (10,000 miles)
Chassis Lubrication (or 6 months, whichever occurs first).
15 000 km (25,000 miles)
Engine Air Cleaner Filter Inspection, if driving in dusty conditions
50 000 km (30,000 miles)
Engine Air Cleaner Filter Replacement.
83 000 km (50,000 miles)
Automatic Transaxle Service (severe conditions only).
100 000 km (60,000 miles)
Engine Accessory Drive Belt Inspection.
166 000 km (100,000 miles)
| • | Spark Plug Wire Inspections. |
| • | Spark Plug Replacement. |
240 000 km (150,000 miles)
Cooling System Service (or every 60 months, whichever occurs first).
Long Trip/Highway Maintenance Definition
Follow this maintenance schedule only if none of the conditions from
the Short Trip/City Maintenance Schedule is true. Do not use this schedule
if the vehicle is used for trailer towing, driven in a dusty area or used
off paved roads. Use the Short Trip/City schedule for these conditions.
Long Trip/Highway Intervals
12 000 km (7,500 miles)
| • | Engine Oil and Filter Change (or every 12 months, whichever
occurs first). |
| • | Chassis Lubrication (or every 12 months, whichever occurs
first). |
50 000 km (30,000 miles)
Engine Air Cleaner Filter Replacement
83 000 km (50,000 miles)
