J 28467-500 Engine Support Fixture

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the one bolt attaching the coolant recovery tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the coolant recovery tank and position it aside.
  3. Install the J 28467-360 and raise the engine off of the mount.

  4. Object Number: 64463  Size: SH
  5. Remove the nuts holding the mount to the body.
  6. Remove the bolts holding the engine bracket to the mount.
  7. Remove the engine mount assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64463  Size: SH
  1. Install the engine mount assembly.
  2. Install the nuts holding the mount to the body. Do not tighten.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bolts holding the engine bracket to the mount.
  5. Tighten

        • Tighten the bolts holding the engine bracket to the mount to 60 N·m (44 lb ft) + 90 degrees.
        • Tighten the nuts holding the mount to the body to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).
             
  6. Remove the J 28467-360 .
  7. Install the coolant recovery tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement in Engine Cooling.
