    Object Number: 20722  Size: SH
  1. Use TRANSJELâ„¢ or equivalent in order to secure the drive sprocket thrust washer (414) onto the case cover.

  2. Object Number: 15744  Size: SH
  3. Position the inner and the outer case cover seals (415, 416) onto the case.
  4. Install the 1-2 accumulator spring (419) into the case.

  5. Object Number: 15743  Size: SH
  6. Carefully position the case cover assembly (401) onto the case.

  7. Object Number: 20723  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: The bolts used to secure the case cover are model sensitive. Pay particular attention to the type and location of each bolt.

  8. Apply GM P/N 12345382 to case cover to case bolt (65).
  9. Install the case cover bolts (refer to the next illustration) into the case cover at the locations shown. Begin to tighten the bolts with your fingers.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts as shown to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Locate the correct bolts.
