Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 372981 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  3. Remove the steering column tilt head housing. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing Replacement .
  4. Remove the 2 tapping screws (1).
  5. Remove the lock bolt support bracket (2).
  6. Remove the lock bolt assembly (3).
  7. Remove the ignition lock actuator assembly (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 372981 Size: SH
  1. Install the ignition lock actuator assembly (4).
  2. Install the lock bolt assembly (3).
  3. Install the lock bolt support bracket (2).

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 tapping screws (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Install the steering column tilt head housing. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing Replacement .
  6. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
