The SIR scan tool data definitions contain a brief description of all SIR related
parameters available on the scan tool. The parameters that are available
on the scan tool are listed below in alphabetical order.
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays an 8-digit part
number. This number is the GM part number that is stored within the SDM memory.
ADS A/D: The scan tool displays 0-20 volts. This
is the front end sensor signal input signal into the SDM.
Calibration ID: The scan tool displays a 4-digit number. This
calibration ID is the check sum of the SDM read only memory contents.
Carline: The scan tool displays what platform the vehicle is.
Component Serial Number: The scan tool displays the SDM manufacturing
source\shipping code.
Driver Frontal Loop: The scan tool displays whether the driver
frontal air bag deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
Driver Side Belt Status: The scan tool displays Buckled or Unbuckled.
The signal from the drivers seat belt switch indicates whether the driver seat is
buckled or unbuckled.
Driver Side Loop: The scan tool displays whether the inflatable
restraint side impact module LF deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-20 volts.
The Ignition represents the system voltage measured by the SDM at its ignition feed.
Julian Date of Build: This number represents the day of the
year the module was built.
Passenger Frontal Loop: The scan tool displays whether the passenger
frontal air bag deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
Passenger Side Loop: The scan tool displays whether the inflatable
restraint side impact module RF deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
PROM ID: The scan tool displays a 4-digit number. This number
is the programmable read-only memory (PROM) ID.
Restraint ID: The scan tool displays the seventh digit of the
VIN which defines the type of restraint system the vehicle has. There will be either
a 2 or a 4. The 2 represents a frontal air bag system and
the 4 represents a frontal and side air bag system.
Year Module Built: The scan tool displays what year the module
was built.
