The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When replacing a cylinder liner, some technicians may find that the trim tool assembly (EN-45680-861) does not fit into the cylinder liner.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If this occurs, inspect the trimmer pilot on the bottom of the trim tool assembly as shown below. If the trimmer pilot is black, replace it with the white trimmer pilot, which was sent to affected dealers in November of 2004. If the white trimmer pilot
can not be located, contact Kent Moore at 1-800-GM-TOOLS to obtain one.
