Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement Sedan
Removal Procedure
Remove the carpet retainer from the vehicle. Refer to
Carpet Retainer Replacement
.
Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Remove the center pillar trim. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Pull the front door opening weatherstrip (1) loose and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Apply weatherstrip adhesive GM P/N 12345096, or equivalent, to the front door opening weatherstrip (1).
Install the front door opening weatherstrip (1) onto the front door pinchweld, pressing into place until fully seated.
Install the windshield garnish molding. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Install the center pillar trim. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Install the carpet retainer to the vehicle. Refer to
Carpet Retainer Replacement
.
Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement Coupe
Removal Procedure
Remove the carpet retainer from the vehicle. Refer to
Carpet Retainer Replacement
.
Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Loosen the quarter trim panel. Refer to
Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Pull the front door opening weatherstrip (1) loose and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Apply weather-strip adhesive GM P/N 12345096 (Canadian P/N 993365) or equivalent, to the front door opening weatherstrip (1).
Install the front door opening weather-strip (1) onto the front door pinchweld, pressing into place until fully seated.
Install the windshield garnish molding. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Install the quarter trim panel. Refer to
Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Install the carpet retainer to the vehicle. Refer to
Carpet Retainer Replacement
