Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 401926  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the gas distribution adapter (GDA) clamp at the throttle body.
  2. Loosen the hose clamps (9) at the gas mass sensor/mixture control valve (GMS/MCV) and the GDA.
  3. Loosen the clamp at the intake duct and disconnect the duct.
  4. Disconnect the PCV hose.
  5. Remove the GDA bracket-to-module bracket bolts.
  6. Remove the GDA bracket and the GMS/MCV-to-GDA hose (9).
  7. Remove the GMS/MCV-to-GDA hose clamp and the hose (9).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the GMS/MCV-to-GDA hose and the hose clamp to the GDA.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the hose clamp to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the GDA bracket and connect the hose (9) to the GMS/MCV.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hose clamp to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the GDA bracket bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the GDA bracket bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  7. Connect the PCV hose.
  8. Connect the intake duct.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the intake duct clamps to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  10. Tighten the GDA clamp at the throttle body.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body clamp to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
