Heater Hoses Replacement Supply or Return

1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling in the 1998 J Platform Service Manual.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information in the 1998 J Platform Service Manual.
3. Disconnect the clamps and remove the supply hose assembly (1) or the return hose assembly (2) from the HPR coolant line and the heater core.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the clamp and remove the hose assembly from the engine pipe.

1. Connect the supply hose assembly (1) or the return hose assembly (2) to the engine pipe fitting and install the clamp.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information in the 1998 J Platform Service Manual.
3. Connect the hose assembly to the HPR coolant line and the heater core. Install the clamps.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Refill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling in the 1998 J Platform Service Manual.
