COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK STRIKER NEW P/N AND INSTALL PROCEDURES

Model and Year 1982-83 CELEBRITYS

When replacing the instrument panel compartment door lock striker on 1982-83 Celebritys, use P/N 14086179, striker. Install as follows:

1. Remove trim plate from I/P.

2. Remove existing striker plate.

3. Align new striker rod into corner of rabbet and against left boss.

4. Drill 3/16" diameter, two (2) holes using striker as template.

5. Attach striker with 3/16" diameter 3/8" long blind rivet as shown (see illustration), two (2) required.
