A RATTLING SUNROOF ASSEMBLY ON THE ABOVE MODEL YEAR VEHICLES COULD BE THE RESULT OF AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF FREE PLAY BETWEEN THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT SUPPORT ROLLERS AND THE TRACKS OF THE SUNROOF HOUSING. THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE DESCRIBES HOW A RATTLE OF THIS TYPE CAN BE CORRECTED BY INSTALLING AN "O" RING INTO THE GROOVES OF BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT FRONT ROLLER SUPPORTS. PROCEDURE 1.MOVE SLIDING SUNSHADE INTO REARWARD POSITION. 2.REMOVE SUNROOF SLIDING GLASS FINISHING COVER. 3.OPERATES SLIDING PANEL APPROXIMATELY EIGHT INCHES (8") REARWARD. COMPLETE INSTALLATION OF "O" RING ON ONE SIDE OF SUNROOF ASSEMBLY BEFORE PROCEEDING TO OPPOSITE SIDE. 4.USING A SHARP TOOL SUCH AS A SCRATCH AWL, REFERENCE LOCATION OF FRONT SUPPORT BY SCRIBING A PORTION OF ITS OUTLINE ON TO THE SUNROOF SLIDING GLASS FRAME ASSEMBLY (SEE FIGURE 1). THIS WILL ALLOW THE SUPPORT TO BE INSTALLED AT ITS PREVIOUS LOCATION AND ENSURE EVEN PARALLEL TRAVEL OF THE SLIDING PANEL. 5.REMOVE TWO (2) FRONT SUPPORT ATTACHING NUTS. 6.SLIDE SUPPORT FORWARD TO DISENGAGE FROM SUNROOF HOUSING TRACK. 7.INSTALL AN "O" RING WITH A .424 INSIDE DIAMETER AND A .103 CROSS SECTION AREA INTO SUPPORT GROOVE (SEE FIGURE 1). 8.ENGAGE SUPPORT INTO SUNROOF HOUSING TRACK. 9.LOCATE AND INSTALL SUPPORT ACCORDING TO REFERENCE MARKS ON SUNROOF HOUSING. 10.REPEAT PROCEDURE FOR OPPOSITE SUPPORT. FOR WARRANTY PURPOSES, USE AN APPORPRIATE LABOUR OPERATION FOR .3 HOURS (BOTH SIDES).
