OIL FILTER BYPASS VALVE 2.5L L4 ENGINE

Model and Year: 1980-85 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.5L L4 ENGINE (VIN CODE R)

Whenever a repair requires replacement of the engine block, it will be necessary to remove the oil filter bypass valve assembly and reinstall it in the new block. If a new oil filter bypass check valve assembly is required, it will be necessary to order P/N 25010497 through WDDGM (refer to the illustration below).
