DIESEL CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS RE-USE INFORMATION

THE TORX DRIVE CYLINDER HEAD BOLT, PART NUMBER 22515533, IS USED IN THREE LOCATIONS ON EACH CYLINDER HEAD AND IS INSTALLED UNDER THE PIPE PLUG AS SHOWN IN FIGURE. SOME OF THESE BOLTS MAY HAVE A WASHER FACE THICKNESS OF APPROXIMATELY 2.0MM (.080 IN). REFER TO FIGURE. IF REPAIRS ARE BEING MADE TO AN ENGINE THAT REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF THESE BOLTS DO NOT REUSE THEM UNLESS THE WASHER FACE THICKNESS IS A MINIMUM OF 2.8M (.LL2 IN). DEALERS SHOULD DISCARD ANY BOLTS THAT DO NOT MEET THE MINIMUM THICKNESS SPECIFICATION. BOLTS WITH THE THICKER WASHER FACE WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM GM PARTS DEPARTMENT UNDER THE SAME PART NUMBER (22515533).
