SOME 1985-87 `A` CARS EQUIPPED WITH EITHER A 2.8L OR 3.8L MPFI V-6 ENGINE MAY EXHIBIT A NO START CONDITION WHEN PARKED IN A NOSE DOWN ATITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 15 DEGREES WITH LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A TANK OF FUEL. THIS CONDITION MAY BE CAUSED BY AIR/FUEL VAPOR INGESTION THROUGH THE VAPOR REJECTION PORT OF THE FUEL PUMP RESULTING IN FUEL STARVATION. VEHICLES EXHIBITING THIS CONDITION MAY BE REPAIRED BY INSTALLATION OF A INTANK FUEL PUMP THAT INCORPORATES USAGE OF A VAPOR REJECTION PORT WITH AN UMBRELLA CHECK VALVE.
