REVERSE GEAR DISENGAGEMENT BENT INTERNAL SHIFT LEVER

Model and Year 1984 CHEVETTE WITH FOUR SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Some of the subject vehicles may experience a disengagement from reverse gear during some reverse maneuvers.

This condition may be caused by a bent internal transmission reverse shift lever. On vehicles exhibiting the above condition, the following parts should be replaced.
