Exhaust Manifold Removal Left Side

Notice: Twist the spark plug boot one-half turn in order to release the boot. Pull on the spark plug boot only. Do not pull on the spark plug wire or the wire could be damaged.

1. Remove the spark plug wire boots from the spark plugs.
2. Remove the spark plug heat shield nuts.
3. Remove the spark plug heat shield.



4. Remove the exhaust manifold nuts (4) and the center bolt (5).
5. Remove the exhaust manifold (3).
6. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket (2).
7. Remove the exhaust manifold studs (1) (if required).

Exhaust Manifold Removal Right Side

1. Remove the spark plug wire boots from the spark plugs.
2. Remove the spark plug heat shield nuts
3. Remove the spark plug heat shield.



4. Remove the exhaust manifold nuts (4) and the center bolt (5).
5. Remove the exhaust manifold (3).
6. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket (2).
7. Remove the exhaust manifold studs (1) (if required).
