Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1998 🢒 Chevrolet C-Series Medium Duty Truck B7 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 6.0L and 7.0L 🢒 Engine Block Plug Removal

    Object Number: 180956 Size: SH
  1. Remove the camshaft rear bearing hole plug:
    2. 1.1. Obtain a suitable self-threading screw.
    1.2. Drill a hole into the plug.
    1.3. Install the self-threading screw.
    1.4. Pull on the plug until it has left the bore.

            Important: Use care not to damage the camshaft bearings.

    1.5. An alternate method to remove the plug would be to insert a long shaft or bar through the front of the engine and drive the plug from the bore.

  2. Remove the engine block coolant drain hole plugs.
  3. Remove the knock sensor.

    4. Object Number: 354082 Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine block oil cooler plugs (without oil cooler).

    5. Object Number: 180864 Size: SH
  5. Remove the engine block oil cooler hose fittings (with oil cooler).

    6. Object Number: 180866 Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear oil gallery plugs.

    7. Object Number: 180871 Size: SH
  7. Remove the front oil gallery plugs.

    8. Object Number: 180869 Size: SH
  8. Remove the left side oil gallery plugs

    9. Object Number: 180870 Size: SH
  9. Remove the top oil gallery plugs.
