Important: Do not reuse the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

1. Remove and discard the intake manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets.



2. Remove the throttle body gasket (3) and discard.



3. Remove the EGR valve gasket (3) and discard.
4. Clean the intake manifold in an approved solvent.

•	Clean the intake manifold gasket sealing surfaces.

•	Clean all coolant passages of scale build up.

•	Clean all carbon from the EGR passages.

•	Clean all intake manifold ports.

Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.

•	Dry the intake manifold with compressed air.

5. Inspect the intake manifold for the following:

•	Seal surfaces for nicks or any other damage

•	Broken flanges

•	Any cracks in the intake manifold

6. Upon installation of the intake manifold, install NEW manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets.
