Notice: The EGR valve is an electrical component. Soaking the EGR valve in a liquid cleaner or a solvent causes damage to the valve.
Notice: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.
Rotate clockwise in order to align mounting holes.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screw assemblies to 2.0 N·m (18.0 lb in).
4.1. | Scan the TP sensor output voltage. |
4.2. | With ignition ON and engine stopped, the TP sensor voltage should read less than 1.25 volts. If more than 1.25 volts, replace TP sensor. |
4.3. | Install the EGR valve and the gasket. |
4.4. | Install the EGR valve attaching bolts. |
Tighten
Tighten the EGR valve attaching bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
