Important: Block the throttle cam lever at the 11 o'clock position by inserting a 14 mm (1/2 in) socket between the governor drive motor and the throttle cam lever.
Important: The governor throttle drive assembly was lubricated at the factory with a special synthetic grease. It is not necessary to periodically lubricant all of the moving component parts. The service repair kits include a small vial of special synthetic grease to lubricate only those parts having no apparent sign of grease, or replacement parts requiring lubrication.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the attaching screw assemblies to 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).
