Important: This procedure covers both the Primary and Secondary filters. The Primary filter is located between the secondary filter and the fuel tank.

1. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
2. Open the air bleed valve on the fuel manager/filter header assembly in order to release pressure in the fuel supply system.
3. Disconnect the water in fuel sensor wiring connector by pulling straight down.



4. Attach a flexible tube or hose (1/4 to 5/16 in. I D) to the water drain.
5. Place a suitable container under the filter drain.
6. Open the water drain by slowly turning counter clockwise (fuel will begin to drain before the sensor is totally removed).
7. Allow the filter to drain.



8. Remove the water in fuel sensor by turning counter clock wise.

1. Install the new water in fuel sensor and seal (7).
2. Reconnect the sensor connector.
3. Bleed the air from the primary and secondary fuel manager/filter. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe and Return Pipe Purging .
4. Install fuel tank filler cap.
