For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect the master cylinder for a cracked casting.
- Inspect the master cylinder for brake fluid leads. Leaks are indicated only if there is at least one drop of fluid. A damp condition is not abnormal.
- Inspect the master cylinder for the following conditions:
- Disassemble the master cylinder if you did not find a condition.
- Inspect the master cylinder for swollen or elongated primary piston seals.
